Clinics?

One of the things that we have been kicking around to not only benefit our members but also possibly attract some new folks is to have some kind of recurring clinic or focused "training day". The idea is that we could have several through out the season, with different topics for each one.
Some ideas are:
More learn to fly day's
Radio programming & general aircraft trimming
Advanced aerobatics
Racing
Painting and Markings (Wylie?)
What are your guys' thought on this? Any other ideas or requests? With a little feedback and light participation, this could turn into something neat.

Thanks for getting this off the ground, Red. I'm looking forward to clinics on Racing (thanks goes out to Cole who helped me out today) and Aerobatics. I've got to learn how to do those rolling circles . . . .
On the tech side, I need to learn how to do fiberglass and would be willing to teach thermoforming, resin casting, etc.

There are a few of us that could improve our landing skills (I'm not pointing fingers at anyone except me). I've been flying for about 3 years, getting into more advanced airframes and still can't do a good job at landing. Perhaps if we have a couple of our pros work takeoff and landing circuits, spotting for one or two fliers at a time, it would work. Every time I've had Red or Adam behind me giving me advice on how to position the aircraft or adjust my speed or pitch, I've nailed the landing. If that's followed up with a "next time try this" discussion I think it would be a winning training session. Maybe not the most fun for the crowd but it could improve flying for everybody (my 2 cents on the topic).
I'll sign up in a heartbeat if we could arrange a training day (of course if I'm ever back in Sonoma county for a weekend again, but that's another discussion).
Thanks,
Paul
