Heya, Red

Sounds like you've hit nerd nirvana down there!

Glad to hear that you are settling right in.  That is an amazing piece of history.

Hi Larry,

I believe that my boy Drew will be coming.  We need to decide what we will be bringing.

Also, Phil replied to me after I sent your email and said that he was in and bringing beer.

Thanks again for this,

Koh

Congrats, Paul!

Looking forward to seeing this beast a the field.

Btw--saw Wylie's today in the back of his Exploder.  Nice!

Steve told me at Opening Day that Red got one kit cut before his laser had a problem.  I haven't heard any updates since then.  I did hear from Red this week that he has his hands full moving, so I don't expect much in the way of additional kits for awhile.

Hi John,

Just heard from Adam and the Nikon belongs to Patrick.  Unless you want to give it to someone who will take better care of it Wink

I got 3 packs of sausage, a pack of buns, soda, brew, mustard and catsup.

Hi Steve,

I'm thinking that the races will be done in the noon to one timeframe.

What better way to send Red off than with a BBQ after this Sunday's May pylon race?

Send off may be a bit of an overstatement as Red's family will still have family up here and all that, but we are ready seeing less of him as he settles into the job with NASA. In any event, Red is amenable to having a potluck style BBQ at the field this Sunday as soon as the races are over.

Hopefully it won't be too windy to cook.  So far the hallmark of the 2013 race season has been howling crosswinds;)

If you are in, please chime in with whatever you will be bringing.  I'll toss in a couple kinds of sausage for the grill and some drinks.

See you there!

Thanks, Jeff.

I'm the dope that left the raffle tickets and the box.  That would be most excellent if you could bring it tomorrow.

Thanks!

Heya, Wylie

That's good--because I'm trying not to jump in!  Too much stuff in the hangar but this one is going to be fun.  Can't wait to see Big Momma flying with the little ducklings.

Btw--Drew and I took the Cougar for a joyride yesterday.  There's a milestone.

The Polaris club build earlier this year is going along pretty well.  15 kits were handed out, quite a few were started, and three have flown so far.

Member Steve Koll got his Polaris flying and was happy with its performance.  But after some surfing he has caught the bug to build a 200% version.  That bumps the wingspan to 58", which doesn't sound that big, but check out this video and you will see what we mean:

I reworked the cut file and Red has agreed to do the cutting again.  Steve ran up north to get the bluecor foam and he is now ready to go.

Steve is not a big computer guy, so he suggested that I open a thread on the project.  He grabbed enough bluecor to do extra of these big kits for some other builders.  If this is you, chime in!
